Dean Orrico joined Middlefield in 1996 and brings over 25 years of investment experience to his role as President and Chief Executive Officer. Dean is a respected member of the investment management community, having spent many years educating financial advisors on the trends and developments in the capital markets in Canada and abroad. Dean is a regular speaker at investment panels, seminars, has been a guest host on BNN Bloomberg TV and is frequently interviewed both in Canada and in the UK for his perspectives on the market.
Deanwill discuss the various subsectors and interesting developments within the Healthcare sector. Healthcare is off to a strong start in 2024, and we believe it represents the early stages of a multi-year period where this sector can outperform. Dean will also discuss how the Firm’s actively managed healthcare strategies have outperformed the benchmark this year and how innovation is creating new opportunities in the Healthcare space.

Jason Donville, President & CEO | MBA, CIM
Before founding Donville Kent in 2008, Jason had an illustrious career as an award-winning analyst in both Asia and Canada. While at Sprott Securities in Toronto as an analyst, Jason was consistently ranked as one of the best financial services analysts in the country.
Previously, Jason served as the head of equity research at Credit Lyonnais Securities Asia in Jakarta and research director at Credit Suisse First Boston in Singapore and Jakarta.
Jason also spent several years in the navy after obtaining a BA from the Royal Military College of Canada. He earned an MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business at Western University. Jason is also a certified Portfolio Manager and holds the ICD.D designation.
Jesse Gamble, Sr. Vice President & Portfolio Manager | MBA, CIM
Jesse has been with Donville Kent for over 13 years, joining after he graduated with a B.Sc. degree from the Dyson School of Economics at Cornell University. Under founder Jason Donville’ tutelage, Jesse sharpened his financial analysis skills. Today, he works alongside Jason to co-manage the DKAM Capital Ideas Fund.
Jesse earned an MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business at Western University. He also holds the Certified Investment Manager designation and is a certified Portfolio Manager.
